More Than Conquerors

So ponder this for a moment….No matter what you are going through today I believe that God would remind you and me that we are more than conquerors in every situation because He lives within us. In Romans 8:35-37 it is written “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, ‘For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.’) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”

God’s mighty Word declares that when we are weak, we are strong. For when we are weak, we become dependent upon Him. When we are totally dependent upon Him, then we move in Him. It is no longer about our strength or our human inadequacies, but it becomes a divine revelation of who we are in Him. It is when we turn our problems, cares and issues over to Him and submit our lives to Him that we can live in freedom and peace knowing that He is at work in our life.. working in us and through us… our eyes become His eyes, our hands become His hands, our feet become His feet. It is at this point that great things will happen because we become totally submitted to Him. It is at this place that we see people that are in bondage set free. It is at this place where we can see and experience the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

I strongly encourage you today brothers and sisters to grab hold of the things of God by faith. Allow the truth of the mighty Word of God to rise up within you. I pray that God would reveal to you and me who we truly are in Him. Today is a most excellent day! Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Today has the freshness of God. Yesterday is history… if there are issues that you need to deal with, then do so in Jesus, and move forward. Grab hold of the Word of God…..the provisions and the promises of God. You are a powerful man or woman of God. Take your focus off of the things of the world and place it on the One that indeed is worthy of our praise. Go forth in boldness and in faith and be who God has called you to be today… in Jesus name!!!

That is such a weighty question, one that people have been debating literally for millennia. Some of my views on the topic are mentioned in my Asynchronous Existence posts. Personally, I believe God made man with free will. He made us to have a personal, love-based relationship with Him and without free will there can’t be love. So if we have free will, it’s up to us to choose. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” If God can hope, I think He hopes each one of us will choose to love Him and enter into that personal relationship, but at the same time I’d suppose He’s a realist and knows not everyone will. Of course, hope has a time element, and isn’t really applicable to a God who spans and extends beyond time. And that’s where things get weird for our time-based minds.
